CIMCO TeachWare – Cloud Based e-learning For Schools and Educational Institutions
CIMCO TeachWare is designed for use in schools and educational institutions to introduce students to working with digital machine tools.
CIMCO TeachWare facilitates and systematizes the approach to the NC, CNC, and CAD/CAM universe. CIMCO TeachWare is designed for use in schools and educational institutions to introduce students to working with digital machine tools. The program is an e-learning software, where the student via internet on a PC, tablet, smartphone, or other units goes through the teaching material.
CIMCO TeachWare teaches basic knowledge in areas such as:
- Machine Device
- CNC Technology
- NC Programming
- Tools and cutting data
- Measuring and Tolerances
The student is taken through milling and turning in separate sections.
The teaching method is based on professional theoretical introductions followed by relevant tests.
The program uses both text, images, and video sequences to illustrate the theoretical content.
At the core of the program is a database where students are divided into different courses, and each has his individual login. This allows the instructor to easily manage individual students results/statistics in testing and evaluate their professional level.
CIMCO TeachWare is designed to let the instructor supplement the program with additional content he himself selects – including photos and video sequences. This means that the instructor can add material to the program, or exclude existing material from it. Once any necessary adaptations to the course material have been made, the part of the instructor‘s time otherwise spent on group lessons is released, enabling him to take care of more pressing, individual training tasks, which means more time for personal training, where necessary.
As CIMCO TeachWare is cloud-based, it can be used in- or outside the classroom. Training can take place at school or as home learning. The use of computer or tablet provides a natural access to many other facilities, such as internet, mail, word processors, presentation programs, etc. The actual writing of NC programs can be done in a simple editor or a more advanced, NC-dedicated program, such as CIMCO Edit.
After reviewing the content and taking the tests, the students will be able to create NC programs for CNC machines on their own. Simultaneously, the student will have been given a good idea of the total work flow – from the interpretation of workshop drawings to the finished part.
